About Career Relaunch
Chicago|May 8, 2008
The Career Relaunch Forum is a one-day conference designed to address the needs and issues of mid-career professionals on career break, looking for strategies and advice on resuming careers after time out of the workforce.
Many of our attendees are moms, or dads, who have taken time out of a career to stay home with children. However, regardless of your reason for break (taking care of parents, or a myriad of other reasons!) you will get practical advice and answers in this one-day event.
The Career Relaunch Forum provides an opportunity for relaunchers to meet and examine their choices by offering sessions on the nuts and bolts of “relaunching,” expert panels, networking with companies interested in tapping the pool of talent on career break, and connections with fellow relaunchers. Our one-day agenda will include:
-
An opening keynote on “The Seven Steps to Relaunch Success,” from the co-authors of Back on the Career Track, the bestselling book on relaunching careers.
Speakers from some of the companies “leading the charge” on connecting with talent on career break.
-
Breakouts led by specialists in the fields of resume writing, career options assessment, entrepreneurship , and “hot industries.”
-
Advice from successful relaunchers.
-
Exposure to resources for those seeking to return to the workforce.
Networking opportunities with employers interested in talent on career break.
The forum provides attendees with unprecedented access to career resources and expert advice in a single setting, and will help promote and showcase companies interested in re-launching talent. You'll leave with an early stage return-to-work plan and resources and strategies for a successful career relaunch.
* What makes this different?
This is an event designed first and foremost for mothers who want to return to the workforce. Because it is independently run, this conference gives attendees a place to learn and network in a comfortable setting.
